These checks are indicators, not proof that every site and application is filtered. We will validate the browser check against actual Google SafeSearch behavior before relying on it for customers.

Good to know

iCloud Private Relay can interfere with Northguard's DNS-based safeguards. For the most reliable protection, we recommend keeping it off while using Northguard.

If you turn it on later, or notice filtering isn't working, come back and run this check again.

How to check Private Relay

Open Settings on your iPhone.
Tap your Apple Account at the top.
Select iCloud, then scroll to Private Relay.
If enabled, turn Private Relay off. Choose the ongoing off option, rather than “until tomorrow.”

Private Relay helps protect your IP address and Safari browsing activity. Turning it off reduces these privacy protections. Your choice may depend on your priorities.
